Landscape architect Jana Crepon presents her philosophy on landscape architecture & design at SHARE WARSAW 2016

Jana Crepon, Partner and Head of the Landscape Department at Inside Outside studio in Amsterdam, will be a guest speaker at SHARE Warsaw 2016. She will talk about some of her recent projects including the design of interior and exterior public spaces in Berlin, such as Metropol Park and Joli Coeur; public space and garden design for National Library in Doha, Qatar; public space and garden design for Shenzhen Stock Exchange in Shenzhen, China and the landscape design for ‘Giardini di Porta Nuova’, a 10ha new urban park in the center of Milan.
Jana Crepon is a close colaborator of OMA architectural practice lead by star architect Rem Koolhaas.
Jana Crepon was born in 1970, Germany, and is working currently in the Netherlands. Jana finished her studies at Technical University of Dresden, Germany in 1995 and she has a Master in Landscape Architecture.
In 1995 she started her career in Amsterdam with becoming part of the newly founded office of DS landscape architects, winning the first price in the International competition for two parks at the Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. Jana has worked at DS for 11 years and realized numerous projects before she moved on to work as the project manager on a complex 491hectar private‐public partnership development for Strootman landscape architects and in 2007 she joined the design office Inside Outside. Here she has been leading the landscape design team, working on multiple landscape projects of different scale and scope in Qatar, China, Taiwan, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and the United States.
Since 2013, she has become deeply involved in the Amsterdam Academy of Architecture ‐ teaching architecture, urban design and landscape architecture students, leading different kinds of projects in all years of the course, being a member in examination and interim juries and mentoring graduate students. In 2014, Jana Crepon was member of the jury and speaker at World Architecture Festival Singapore.
She was one of the supervisor landscape architect of “Meesterproef 2010” in Gent, Belgium. Member of the panel / lecture at the symposium: “Stadtschafftlandschaft” in Potsdam, Germany and author of articles in professional magazines.
Inside Outside is a design firm that addresses both the interior and exterior space, working on commissions of small to very large scale, within the Netherlands and internationally. Inside Outside has a long history of professional collaboration with international architects and engineers, and this act of working together has mutually enriched the joint projects globally.
